Lyubov Lezhanina (Russia, Perm) had work as a doctor for thirty years and now she retired.
She graduated from the quilt course at the club "SUNDUCHOK" in Perm in 2007
Lyubov Lezhanina created an author's course on free motion quilting in 2009. Her students live in different parts of Russia and far from its borders.
Lyubov is a prize-winner of different international and All-Russian competitions of quilt. The works of L. Lezhanina were presented at exhibitions in Canada, the USA, France, Spain, Japan, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Mexico and Germany. In 2011-2017, Lyubov Lezhanina had eight personal exhibitions in many russian cities and in Birmingham (Great Britain) .
Favorite directions in creativity are: traditional patchwork, appliqué, art quilt, free motion quilting. Her works are performed on a domestic sewing machine.
The last two years, Lyubov Lezhanina prefers "art quilt". Her realistic panels created on the basis of her paintings and photographs, as well as photographs and paintings of other authors. As a "basis" the author uses an application with an untreated edges or a textile collage. And next she completes the work with an active free motion quilting .
